About La Maison Mondiale

© Ganz Muller Architects

Workspaces, seminar rooms and rooms for rent in a heritage villa located in the international organisations district of Geneva. Rooms can be rented for a minimum of one week, and workspaces can be booked by the hour or by the day. The 1937 villa was recently restored by the Terra et Casa foundation under the guidance of Ganz Muller Architects and brought back to its original splendour. while adapting it to the needs of the urbz team and to welcome you. More than just a simple restoration, this initiative pays tribute to the visionary architect, while giving visitors a chance to discover Geneva from the inside.

This exceptional villa of over 250 m², spread over two floors and surrounded by a garden, has become a lively and dynamic space. It was adapted it to the needs  of the urbz team and it is now ready to welcome esteemed visitors like yourself. More than just a simple restoration, this initiative pays tribute to the house's visionary architect, while giving visitors a chance to discover Geneva from the inside. La Maison Mondiale has been designed as a true place of residence for people on mission in Geneva, humanitarians, international civil servants, artists or academics, offering them a unique setting in which to stay.

Much more than a hotel, this house is a space for exchange and encounters. Its residents will be able to interact with the urbz team, their guests and the various local players, encouraging the creation of links and the emergence of new opportunities. This project is part of a tradition of hospitality, placing welcome and sharing at the heart of the experience. With this reopening, the Maison Mondiale becomes an anchor point for Geneva: an open city, where cultures and ideas meet, where everyone can feel at home, while being connected to the rest of the world.

Petit-Saconnex is a quiet neighbourhood with a rich cultural diversity. The area is dominated by green spaces, with the Promenade des Crêts right next door, the Jardin de la Paix and the Parc de Trembley. Just 3 minutes from the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and 15 minutes' walk from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations, and 30 min by tram to the CERN, La Maison Mondiale is the ideal place for a stay that combines work, socialising and discovery.

ACTIVITIES

Today, as well as welcoming people from all walks of life, the villa hosts two main programmes and is supported by the Terra Casa Foundation and the Fondation pour le Patrimoine du Bâti Genevois.
